Information we collect

If you submit a supplier application, we collect the organisation and contact details you enter, your application responses, the declarations you make, and limited submission information such as the date, time and IP address. Please provide business information only and do not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

Why we use it

We use application information to receive, assess and respond to the request, check details, prevent misuse of the form, and manage a possible directory listing. Our intended lawful basis is legitimate interests: operating and safeguarding an independent supplier-discovery platform and responding to organisations that ask to be considered. Where the information relates to a sole trader or partnership, it may also be needed to take steps at their request before entering into an agreement.

Who receives it

Application details are sent to our BarfDiet.co.uk email account and may be processed by the website and email hosting providers that support the service. We do not sell application contact details. Information will only be shared more widely where necessary to assess the application, operate a listing, meet a legal obligation or protect the service.

How long we keep it

We keep application information only for as long as reasonably needed to assess and manage the application, maintain relevant records, resolve questions and protect the platform. Unsuccessful or abandoned application information will be reviewed periodically and deleted when it is no longer needed. Published business listing details may remain while the listing is active or until they are replaced or removed.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, or to object to its use. Contact us at hello@barfdiet.co.uk. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Technical information

The hosting provider may process limited technical data, including IP addresses and server logs, for security, abuse prevention and reliable operation. The supplier form does not set an advertising or visitor-profiling cookie.

Links to third-party organisations lead to separate websites governed by their own privacy practices. This notice will be updated before newsletter registration, analytics, accounts, payments or materially different data uses are introduced.
